Appeal Form

Butterfly Conservation's 40th Anniversary Appeal
Butterflies face mounting threats and need our help. Some face possible extinction. Money from Butterfly Conservation’s Stop Extinction appeal will restore countryside for butterflies and other wildlife. I urge you to support the Stop Extinction appeal and help us ensure their future.
Sir David Attenborough, President of Butterfly Conservation
A donation to the Stop Extinction appeal will directly support our work to halt and reverse the decline of British butterflies and moths.
Together, we can help Britain’s rarest butterflies, moths and their precious habitats, recover after decades of decline and preserve them for future generations.
Today the High Brown Fritillary is the most rapidly declining butterfly in the UK due to the loss and fragmentation of its habitat. Only 35 highly vulnerable colonies remain.
By coppicing to increase light for food plants, and widening rides to connect colonies of High Brown Fritillary, numbers in the Morecambe Bay Limestones area have gradually improved.
Butterfly Conservation is able to highlight the plight of such butterflies and moths but we need your help to carry out our work to Stop Extinction all over the UK.
Please support the Stop Extinction appeal. Every gift will make a difference.
