Butterfly enthusiast and marathon runner Stephen Davis ran the Paris Marathon for Butterfly Conservation on 11 April.

Stephen completed the 26 miles in 3 hours 44 minutes - beating his personal best by 9 Stephen Daviesminutes!

"To help highlight International Year of Biodiversity and in particular our endangered butterflies, I would like to use the race to raise money for Butterfly Conservation. I ran a mile for each of the 24 UK BAP butterfly species, plus the final two miles to complete the Marathon!"

Stephen is a long-standing member of Butterfly Conservation and has had a passion for butterflies since he was a child. He works for Natural England and has been involved with Butterfly Conservation on several projects.

You can still help Stephen raise funds by donating online by credit card using the form on the right or by sending a cheque by post. (Don't forget to write 'Sponsor Paris Marathon'' on the back of your cheque).
