Butterfly Conservation supports the Nature of Farming Award

marsh fritillary in flower meadowOut of hundreds of entries to the Nature of Farming Award, judges have whittled them down to a shortlist of four. You can now cast your vote to decide which one should receive this prestigious award and win the first prize of £1000.

The award is run by the RSPB in association with Butterfly Conservation, Plantlife and BBC Countryfile. Dr Martin Warren, Butterfly Conservation's Chief Executive, was on the judging panel and was very impressed by the high standards: "The entrants have made an important contribution to saving wildlife and set a wonderful example of how to combine farming and nature conservation. The four shortlisted were quite outstanding and I was delighted that several had taken special care to create habitats especially for butterflies and moths"

You have until 28 August 2009 to vote and be entered into a prize draw to win a selection of fabulous wildlife goodies. The results will be announced mid-September.
