Countryman and conservationist will be sadly missed
It is with much sadness that we report the death of Michael Griffith CBE at the North Wales Branch Members Day on Saturday (27th June).
A lifelong champion of the welsh countryside, Michael had recently joined Butterfly Conservation and was developing a particular interest in moths. He died suddenly, in the heart of Snowdonia, with Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary and other wildlife all around.
Ilija Vukomanovic, North Wales Branch Chair said "Michael's wide experience and enthusiasm for conservation were a great asset to the Branch and he will be greatly missed"
Our thoughts are with his wife, Jill, son, Anthony and the rest of the family.
