Priority species factsheets

Breadcrumbs

Each factsheet contains essential information to enable the practical conservation of the moths listed as Priority Species in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan, or those which were former Priority Species, covering those species that breed partly or wholly on agricultural land. They are available as downloads by clicking on the relevant species name in the list.

The factsheets have been funded either by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs or Natural England, as a resource for land managers and advisors, especially when discussing grants available under the new Environmental Stewardship scheme. Details of Defra's schemes can be found at www.defra.gov.uk/erdp/schemes/es/default.htm. The scheme includes Higher Level Stewardship, which supports management for targeted butterflies, moths and other biodiversity.
