Join us for a trip to Berrycroft Farm, Ashbury: located within an area of beautiful chalk downland on the famous Ridgeway National Trail. Extensive management is being carried out to restore the flower-rich grasslands; and to re-establish populations of both Chalk Hill Blue and Adonis Blue.

We will explore the grassland for early-summer butterflies and day-flying moths. Target species might include Dark Green Fritillary,Marbled White, Small Heath; and a range of day-flying moths such as numerous Five-spot Burnets.

Accessibility & risks: steep slopes and some ‘off path’ walking. Please check for ticks after the walk and let the leader know if you have picked up any ticks. (Tick advice)
