Meeting At Hound Tor

50.599018, -3.782247

Are you interested in helping with the annual monitoring of Marsh Fritillary or Narrow-bordered Bee Hawk-moth on Dartmoor?!

This free workshop, led by the 'All the Moor Butterflies' project, aims to equip you with the knowledge required to be able to help monitor these two special species. The workshop will be based at a beautiful, private meadow on Dartmoor where we will not only learn about species ecology, habitat preferences, and survey techniques, but we will also get a chance to practice our new skills and *weather permitting* hopefully spot our two target species.

As there is limited parking at the workshop location, we shall be parking and meeting in Hound Tor car park (TQ13 9XQ). From here, we will bundle in to as few cars as possible and drive the short distance to the meadow site. Please arrive in Hound Tor car park for 10.30am. We will aim to return to the car park before 3pm.

Please note the workshop will be entirely outdoors, with little shelter, and no toilet facilities - waterproofs, suncream/hat, and sturdy boots are recommended. Please bring your own picnic and plenty to drink.

Booking is essential. To book contact Megan Lowe on [email protected]
