In Scotland, the Pearl-bordered Fritillary is an elusive, scarce springtime butterfly. It was re-discovered above Loch Katrine near Callander in 2018 as part of a long-term resotration project led by the Great Trossachs Forest partnership alongside Butterfly Conservation. This training day marks the start of the 2024 field survey programme and will enable participants to identify the butterfly and record suitable habitat for conservation management under the project.
