A joint walk with the Dorset Branch. A walk in search of woodland butterflies through mixed conifer and mature woodland that straddles the county border. We will be out until about 3.00 pm so bring lunch and plenty to drink.
Location: Meet at 11.00 am at Shermel Gate, map reference ST 989 192 (Explorer Sheet118), what3words: ///plugs.dwarf.agreeable. North of Sixpenny Handley, turn onto Dean Lane, signposted to Deanland and Newtown and continue until the road ends. This road is narrow in places and should be followed with caution.
