A New Members' Welcome Event  followed by a walk around the reserve managed by our past-chairman Maurice Avent. This well-known SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) is well worth a visit at any time.  About 30 species are seen each year. Longer standing members also welcome to join us!

 

Location:  Use the car park at Manor Farmhouse, Biddestone at ST 866 734 (what3words: ///manliness.builder.vintages) and be welcomed with a cup of tea and an introduction to other members. Walk starts at 11am at the T junction to the hamlet of Long Dean at ST 851 759 (Map 173). what3words: ///prancing.pictures.marker.

Note: the signed entrance to the farmhouse is opposite the Biddestone Arms. Follow the lane to the end where there is on-site parking.

 

Information: Bring walking boots, if you wish to extend your visit bring a picnic too.
