What is a Habitat?

A Habitat is a place where animals and plants live together. Animals and Plants depend on each other in their Habitats. Habitats are really important because if they are not right, the animals and plants in them will not be able to survive.

There are many reasons why species have become rarer or even extinct, but the loss of their habitats is one of the most important.
Here are a few examples of Habitats.
Which of these can you see from your window? Which of them can you find within 5 kilometres of your home or school?
