Do you love nature and want to make sure it’s protected? Enter our competition to design a banner for the Restore Nature Now demonstration in London.

We are looking for the next generation of campaigners to come up with a creative banner design that shows support for butterflies and moths and their recovery. Open to anyone still in education or training, we want to see designs that are bold, funny, or emotive – this is your chance to send a message that will grab the attention of the public and policymakers alike.

You can use any medium you like – crayons, paints, computers, but your design must be in a landscape format. You can download a template to use here.

You have from 3 May until 3 June to submit your design, and the winning entry will be printed onto a banner which will be carried by Butterfly Conservation at the Restore Nature Now demonstration in London in June. The winner will also receive a Butterfly Conservation T-shirt.

The demonstration, which will see organisations from across the conservation sector march through the streets of London to demand that the Government take urgent action to ensure nature’s recovery, hopes to be the largest public demonstration of support for nature and climate action that the UK has seen.

To submit your entry, take a picture or a scan of your design and email it to @email, along with your name, age and a contact email address or telephone number, by 8pm on Monday 3 June 2024. If you are under 16 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.

Full terms and conditions below.
