Our Northern Ireland Branch does an amazing job promoting the work of Butterfly Conservation.
The Northern Ireland Branch of Butterfly Conservation was formed in 1988 and is a friendly and active group of members and volunteers.
BCNI are active all year round, organising field trips throughout the summer from May to September, and a series of talks at the Ulster Museum from October to March. In 2010 we held our first Christmas Dinner event for branch members which will become a regular event and includes the battle for the BCNI Quiz Cup.
The branch is responsible for gathering together butterfly and moth records from across Northern Ireland and can also provide advice on wildlife friendly gardening, species identification including bumblebees and dragonflies, and the best places to see our various butterflies and moths.
