Location and Directions
The conference will take place in the Palmer Building on the Whiteknights campus. The Palmer Building is no 26 on theWhiteknights campus map.
Accommodation will be available for the nights of Thursday 25th March, Friday 26th March and Saturday 27th March based in the Whiteknights Halls of Residence.
Travelling to the Symposium by Car
From the West, East and South:
- Travel to Junction 11 of the M4
- At the exit roundabout, take the B327 signposted to Earley and the University of Reading (UoR)
- At the traffic lights, stay in the left hand lane and turn left onto the A327 (Shinfield Road)
- Follow the large map showing University entrances
From the North:
- Travel towards the town centre
- Join inner distribution road, follow signs to the University of Reading (UoR)
- Just after a major junction with a right turning to the A33, take the left exit, signposted to the University of Reading (UoR)
- Travel along London Street and Silver Street
- At the top of the hill, turn left at the roundabout onto the A327 (Christchurch Road)
- Follow the large map showing University entrances

Travelling to the Symposium by Rail
There is a frequent service from London Paddington to Reading which takes 23 minutes. Many other direct rail services link Reading to the rest of the country - visit www.nationalrail.co.uk or tel: 08457 48 49 50. The University is a short journey from Reading Station by taxi or by bus (see below) and about 15 minutes by bicycle.
