Mobile phones help conserve butterflies...and moths

Recycle your mobile phoneButterfly Conservation has teamed up with the recycling company, Greener Solutions and we receive £2.50 for every recycled mobile phone - irrespective of the age or condition of the phone.

In the UK, the average consumer replaces his/her mobile phone every 18 months.  With an estimated 15 million mobile phones being replaced each year in the UK, there is huge potential for charities to raise valuable income from recycling.

Platinum, gold, silver and copper are all found in mobile phones. These precious metals, as well as various plastics, can all be recycled, reducing landfill and helping to prevent environmental damage.

If you have an old mobile phone you no longer want, please recycle it to raise money for Butterfly Conservation and to help save the planet.

The income we generate from this scheme will help to fund our conservation work throughout the UK.

We would like to hear from businesses - large or small – willing to promote our scheme among their staff or customers.
