Join us on a joint trip to the Black Park Country Park: a Buckinghamshire County Council park with over 500 acres of woodland, heath and open space, just north-east of Slough. It supports a rich variety of wildlife including some sought after butterfly species.
We will explore the tracks through the woodland and open areas, searching for some of the special summer butterflies of the park. Target species: Purple Hairstreak, Silver-washed Fritillary, White Admiral and, if we are lucky, the magnificent Purple Emperor.
Accessibility - hard stony paths with some loose stones. Toilet facilities on site.
Meet at the main car park by the GoApe adventure entrance. Please ensure that you collect your parking permit from the rangers or office, otherwise you will have to pay for parking (approx: £3.80).
