Join us on a trip to BBOWT's Finemere Wood Nature Reserve: a magnificent woodland with a rich flora and fauna, sadly affected by the HS2 works. It has the thrilling atmosphere of a very old, wild place.
We will wander the rides and paths seeking out some of the special woodland butterflies of the reserve.Target species: Purple Hairstreak, Silver-washed Fritillary, White Admiral and, if we are lucky, the magnificent Purple Emperor.
Accessibility - flat, muddy when wet, some stumps and roots, five short bridges. Benches.
Meet at the reserve car park, just off the Edgecott to Quainton Road.
