Join us for a trip to the RSPB Otmoor Nature Reserve: an extensive complex of wetlands with important Blackthorn hedges and over 1.5 miles of trails. We will focus on the Roman Road and the wild flower meadows.

We will search the Roman Road for sheltered basking areas and good ‘nectaring’ flowers, in the hope of getting good views of our target species. We will also wander the trails and into the wild flower meadows looking for other butterfly and wildlife species. Target species Brown Hairstreak and other grassland for other late-summer butterflies.

Accessibility - trails mainly flat but can be muddy and uneven in places. Benches and gates .

Meet at the Reserve car park, at the end of Otmoor Lane, Beckley. Note: there is a parking fee (currently £2 per car) for non-RSPB members.
