Join us on a Training Walk at Beacon Hill and Kimble Warren: an area of farmland where work is to be carried out to restore habitats for butterflies and other wildlife. We will look at the site's importance as a connecting habitat between two other amazing chalk grassland BBOWT nature reserves (Grangelands and Bacombe Warren).

This walk is in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board and will look at the work planned for this winter by the local farmer as part of the Central Chilterns Farmer Cluster. We will, of course, look at the butterflies, birds and other wildlife we see on our walk. These may include Chalk-hill Blue, Adonis Blue and Silver-spotted Skipper. Target: tips for improving your own land for butterflies, moths and other wildlife.

Accessibility - We will walk 2 - 3 hours across Chiltern farmland. Some steep slopes and uneven ground. We will take it slowly with time to rest, chat and take in the panoramic scenery.

Limited parking in the roadside layby at Great Kimble. We will arrange car sharing if necessary.
