Join us on a trip to Colstrope Farm, a 'Pasture for Life' farm within the Chilterns AONB. Charles Flower (renowned pioneer in growing wildflowers) will describe the way that management has made this formerly mixed farm, a haven for wildlife and give tips for increasing biodiversity on other sites.

We will take a 5 kilometre walk across the steep slopes on this Chiltern Farm. It will take us from the purpose-built 'scrapes', at the top of the chalk ridge, back to the River Hamble. Charles will explain choices in the management of each field as we pass through. Followed by refreshments and a Q&A session at the farm. Target: to increase your understanding of management approaches to improve biodiversity on local farms and other managed land.

Accessibility - sloping, steep, muddy in places - especially after rain. Kissing gates and some stiles.

Meet at the farm entrance, 1.75 miles north of Hambledon and then east on Colestrope Lane, park behind the barns.
