Meet at 10:30am at the National Trust's Dunstable Downs Visitor Centre, Dunstable Road, Whipsnade LU6 2GY (Grid ref. TL008198) which has a café and toilets. Finish at about 1:00pm.
There is a £3.50 car parking charge if you are not a member of the National Trust. We will walk to Bison Hill and back, total distance 2.5kms. Bison Hill is steep with rough grass paths and not suitable for anyone who is disabled.
We will be looking for chalk grassland spring specialist species: Duke of Burgundy, Dingy and Grizzled Skippers and Green Hairstreaks. With thanks to the National Trust.
