We will take a gentle 2 hour walk through different habitats from an abandoned railway line to open downland.  A range of butterfly species live here and help with identifying them will be part of the event. Children and families are very welcome. You can bring a picnic lunch for the end of the walk if you wish. The Big Butterfly Count is on so everyone can take a count and send it off to Butterfly Conservation during the walk.

Meet 11.00 am at Milldown car park, which is up the lane opposite Blandford Milldown School off Milldown Road on the B3082 going NW from Blandford town centre, map reference ST 882 074, postcode DT11 7FU.

It would help us if you could book with the walk/talk/work party leader in advance. This does not commit you to turning up, but it means that if we have to cancel the event, we can contact you to tell you this. We may use your email address to contact you immediately after the event, but it will not be held for any future purpose.
