The Heath Fritillary is one of the UK's rarest species with a very limited distribution. The Essex colonies of this delightful butterfly are a real conservation success story and an important stronghold for this species nationally. Please join us for a walk through Hockley Woods to see the Heath Fritillary and other early summer woodland species.

Meet in the Hockley Woods car park off of Main Road, next to the Bull Inn.
