Transport: Mile End Underground Station (Central, District and Hammersmith and City Lines) is approx. 5 minute walk from the Tube entrance/exit.
Information: An opportunity to be shown around this famous urban, closed cemetery, now a public park and a designated local nature reserve. Weather permitting, we’ll be at the peak of the summer butterflies, and could see up to 17 species, including Ringlet, Silver-washed Fritillary, Comma, Gatekeeper and three kinds of Skipper. In poor weather, we’ll learn about these butterflies from pictures, and look at caterpillar food plants and nectar plants. Donations will be appreciated.
