Prees Heath Common Reserve is the only remaining sanctuary for Silver-studded Blue butterfly in the Midlands which can be found in huge numbers on the restored lowland heathland during its flight period. 

Join a guided walk around Prees Heath Common to discover the remarkable history of the site and the ambitious, challenging and long term heathland re-creation project on areas of former arable cultivation. 

Meeting Location: Meeting at 2:00pm on the access track opposite the Steal Heath turning off the A49. Limited parking is available, please car share if possible.  Wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. The terrain of the reserve is flat, as a former airfield the site can be exposed to all weather elements.
