Wiltshire: Field trip to Weather Hill (North East of Tidworth)

This is a Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) Conservation Group walk looking specifically for Marsh Fritillaries but also other species.

Target Species: Marsh Fritillary, Wall Brown, Green Hairstreak, Brown Argus, possible Duke of Burgundy.

Location: Meet in the car park at SU 204 525 (Map 184). what3words: ///raves.revealing.openings.

Directions: Meet at Weather Hill Firs near Everleigh (on the A342). From Everleigh take the minor road to the south, signposted to Haxton/Netheravon. Follow the minor road for 0.5 km then, at the tank crossing on a sharp right-hand bend, look for the large parking area on the left. If coming from Netheravon follow the minor road out of the village through Haxton and continue to the meeting point, which will be on the left at the sharp left-hand bend. We will then drive to the starting point.
