The Manor is the home of the Floyd family who manage their property in partnership with the National Trust; the house has featured in many TV dramas including Poldark and Wolf Hall. Several moths scarce to Wiltshire have been trapped there including Webb’s Wainscot, L-album Wainscot (several seen last year) and the Four-spotted Footman.

Location: Park outside the Manor off the lane to the right of the Manor entrance ST 860 632 (Map 173), then walk into the Manor Gardens to the left as you enter the property. The moth traps will be opened on the lawn. what3words: ///readers.reduction.joys.

Directions: The Manor House (Great Chalfield, Atworth, Melksham SN12 8NH) is well sign-posted by the National Trust.
