Wiltshire: Moth Trapping at Ravensroost Wood (West of Swindon)

The wood is a Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Platinum Jubilee Wood, home of
the Oak Lutestring, a scarce denizen of ancient oakwoods - our target
species for the night, along with the declining Pale Eggar, Old Lady,
Mocha and many other species. Help the moth-ers catch moths as
they are attracted to the traps. Bring camera, net if you have one and
warm clothes! Event may last till midnight depending on the conditions.

Directions: Take the B4696 Ashton Keynes
road north from Royal Wootton Bassett. After 1.75 miles take the second
turn left signed for Minety. Bear left at the next junction, then
straight on at the next crossroads, from where Ravensroost Wood car
park is on the right after about half a mile.
