Join us for guided walks at Fineshade Wood Wednesday through to Sunday from 17th May until 11th June (also including Monday 29th May) as part of the ‘Chequered Skippers – Taking Flight’ Project funded by the Green Recovery Challenge Fund.

We will be keeping an eye out for our three target species, Grizzled Skippers, Dingy Skippers and, if we are very lucky, Chequered Skippers!

Anne Dyer is kindly opening the gates to Simon's Field Butterfly Field at Westhope College, Shropshire for Butterfly Conservation

Craigavon Lakes Local Nature Reserve. Park along Eastway, Craigavon, near the roundabout at Tannaghmore Gardens.

Bernwood Meadows BBOWT Nature Reserve

We will explore, from the FE car park onto the meadows, looking for a range of butterflies including scarce species.

The owners invite you to join them and other organisations in an exploration of the farm’s habitats and wildlife, including meadow, orchard, garden and pond. Moth traps, butterflies and limestone grassland plants.

BCN Wildlife Trust car park, 1.5 miles west of Brampton.

A guided walk to see early summer woodland species, including the rare and elusive Black Hairstreak.

We will look out for a variety of grassland butterflies and moths, amongst the rich flora and other wildlife.

 A return visit to Ryewater Nursery - join us for a weekend of mothing and a butterfly walk.

Part of the Moth Safari 2023. This is a morning event suitable for all ages to see the range of species that were attracted to the lights from moth traps left out the previous night.

Join us for a field workshop at Whitelee Forest, East Renfrewshire (on an area of upland bog) to help survey for the Large Heath butterfly and learn how to take part in this year's survey for the species on lowland raised bogs.

Guided Walk for Welsh Clearwing and Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire

Saturday 17^th June 12 noon - 4pm  Open day at the branch Butterfly Nectar Garden at Prinknash Abbey.  There will be live moths caught in moth traps and activities for children. Also a plant stall and planting ideas to encourage butterflies and moths into your garden. Volunteers needed.
