5 of us met at the visitor centre. It was warm but a bit overcast and we ventured out along the path to the marshes. Lots of damselflies and dragonflies and we saw 6 different species of butterflies.
Large Skipper, Meadow brown, Peacock, Speckled Wood, Small Heath and Common Blue. Birds were quite a highlight, Avocet, Redshank and Lapwing and yellow wagtails. Marsh Harriers and Hobbies.
Swan with Cygnets and Sedge and reed warblers. We did get a few spots of rain, but an excellent walkthrough a really first class site.
